How to Make Sun Butter

1.) First, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the sunflower seeds evenly on a baking sheet and toast them in the oven for about 8-10 minutes until they become golden brown. This step helps to enhance the flavor of the sun butter.

2.) Allow the toasted sunflower seeds to cool for a few minutes, then transfer them to a food processor or high-speed blender. Add the oil, sweetener (if desired), and a pinch of salt.

3.) Blend the mixture on high speed for about 4-5 minutes, stopping occasionally to scrape down the sides of the processor or blender. Continue blending until the sunflower seeds break down completely, and the mixture turns into a smooth and creamy consistency.

4.) Taste the sun butter and adjust the sweetness and saltiness according to your preference. If it’s too thick, you can add a little more oil and blend again until you achieve the desired consistency.
