This, my friends, is NOT allowed on the autoimmune protocol. It’s cauliflower pizza that has been tainted by nightshades, poisoned with egg whites, contaminated by luscious raw cheddar, polluted by almond flour… Yes, dear readers, it’s deliciously defiant.
But don’t worry, I didn’t eat it. Actually, I didn’t even serve it to my family. I just forgot to take a picture of my dinner tonight and wanted to have something to show you, so I thought I’d show you the dinner I wish I had.
I WILL say that pizza, the real thing – the kind that delivers, was delivered to my home this afternoon for a group of junior-high kids. Accompanying the grain-laden
beauty beast was cake and rice krispy treats (I used to eat by the pan-ful) laden with M&Ms and frosted with chocolate – because sugar is a food group when you’re in junior high.
Did I cheat? Did I even allow my Italian schnoz to take a few sniffs of these off-limit treats? Well DID I? Nope. I didn’t cheat. Now, I’m not saying I’m above cheating, but God gave me the grace to stay the course. I might have looked a little bit like Martin Short or Steve Martin in this video though…
