My huge apologies for being so silent on my BIG FAT grain free life lately. Many of you know I spent 11 weeks in California receiving amazing cancer treatment. Since that time, my liver and kidney functions have become normal, my cancer markers have dropped significantly, the huge tumor in my abdomen is COMPLETELY GONE, as is the tumor on my adrenal gland! My adrenal gland is now normal size, and the lymph nodes in my abdomen are all normal! The liver tumor is still there but has shrunk.
We are praising God for this good news. My medical sharing company is not paying for treatment, however, and it’s costing us a bundle. We are tapped out, but I need more treatment. A couple of years ago, my son and I did a silly lip sync to Love Shack and posted it on Facebook as a wedding gift to some friends (I couldn’t get it to send to them directly). That video got over 2300 views. If that many people donated $25 to our GoFundMe account, I could afford the next phase of treatment.
My teenage daughter has been wanting to record our “Christmas Jam” (which we usually sing, but decided to spare everyone the pain). We recorded it yesterday morning and have posted it on Facebook. My niece just posted it on YouTube, so I am sharing it with you all now.
Enjoy – and please keep us in your prayers. You can also follow my story (with prayer requests and photos from CA) on my CaringBridge site called Jen’s Prayer Posse. My daughter and I will be heading to California for more treatment in January and I am praying that the Lord will provide for us and heal me completely of this cancer beast.
Thank you!
PS – I’ve switched from AIP to a keto diet for cancer. (clean keto) and have really enjoyed eggnog this Christmas season. I use this recipe, but substitute 1/2 cup of lakanto gold sweetener for the honey and coconut sugar. If you prefer it sweeter, you can add a few drops of stevia, or even a tablespoon of maple syrup (but the syrup will up the carb content). Mangia!
